Time with Tali's Mom Today

Hi again friends,

Just a quick update to let you know that our time with Tali's birth mom went really well today. Tali seemed to enjoy hanging out with both she and I and did really well with the exception of a few moments of confusion, thinking we were leaving her when we were all getting ready to leave to take her birth mom home. Poor baby... :-/ But overall we had a really good time together, packing some of Tali's clothes up, reading some books, taking Tali to the park....we even talked to my mom "Gigi," as Tali calls her, on Skype, so Tali's mom got to see/hear some of Tali's favorite songs that my mom has taught her. :)

As we were driving her back to her place, Tali's mom mentioned the possibility of coming to church with us some time (!?!?). We told her we'd love to have her and that everyone would be thrilled to see Tali....told her how much Tali is loved by our church family, etc.

So yeah...it was a good time. Less awkward and more comfortable than I expected it to be....and I felt like it was good for Tali overall also.
