Dana and Tali's Epic Journey

Tali and I got home this past Wednesday night from spending a week with dear friends in Colorado. We had such a good time and my heart was so refreshed just BEing in the Prichards' home. They were so great with Tali and Sue's cooking was da bomb. :) Great conversations, lots of laughs, a few tears, and GREAT times.

We also got to see several other dear friends, and we spent an afternoon visiting Stan's family in Monument, CO. I SO wish we had taken more pictures of our time there!!! Unfortunately, I didn't take as many as I should've.... but here are the ones I took that I am able to post. To see pics that include Tali, check my facebook. I posted a more complete album from our trip there (because on fb I can set my privacy settings to "friends only," and this being a public blog, I can't post pics of our "bug" here.)

Since we did our drive later in the day, the sunset once we got into Eastern CO was just amazing.

With the Prichards' youngest son, David, who decided to MOCK my pregnant belly. :) Ha ha... He looks a little further along than I am.

On our last full day there, Tali and I drove up to Red Rocks just for the view and to take some pics. It's one of my favorite places in CO - so gorgeous. Tali LOVED looking at the rocks and climbing on some of the little ones. Check my Facebook page for pics of her at Red Rocks.

A quick "Pregnancy Brain" moment:
On the way up to Red Rocks I stopped to put gas in my car and to run it through a car wash. I rolled down the window, put in the code for my car wash, and drove into the car wash. Suddenly I found myself and the inside of my car getting a VERY unexpected shower....and I realized, "OH! You have to actually roll UP your window beFORE you drive into the car wash!" HA HA HA! Wow, Dana. Once I got the ELECTRIC window rolled up, which took a few seconds, I couldn't stop laughing for a while.... Seriously... I think your "dork factor" must SKYrocket during pregnancy. At least, I know mine does.

Anyway, we came home on Wednesday night and were both SO excited to see Stan ("Da-da"). We missed him so much! Tali did WONDERFULLY on the road, only complained just a little....what an awesome little traveling buddy. :)

OH! Since our return to KC, I've been reminded of the HORRENDOUS humidity here (Ian, and Sue, DON'T say it... I know.... ;) ). Being pregnant and knowing I'm going to be that way until the beginning of September, summer feels kind of daunting to me right now. MAN it is hot here. Anyway, my whole reason for bringing this up, is to tell you that it's the LITTLE conveniences that mean SO MUCH to me right now.... like this sign at Hy-Vee, our local grocery store:

In case you can't read it well, it says:
"Reserved parking for new and expecting mothers."
Thank You LORD for whoever put those signs up! :) When your belly's big and getting bigger, it's the little things..... :)
