Thanksgiving and more!!

Hi all! Sorry it's been a while since I last posted. I hope this finds you all well and enjoying the Christmas season! Today it's snowy here... I love it!

Want to get you all up to date on our lives.....

First, for Thanksgiving Stan and I traveled to North Carolina to spend time with my family, specifically, my dad's side. We ALWAYS do thanksgiving all together at my grandparents' house. There's all the normal stuff - the fried Turkey, dressing, pumpkin pies, ham, etc... Then there's German chocolate cakes, "Grandma's green beans (NO one does 'em like Grandma), and Grandma's turnips which never fail to be mistaken for applesauce by at least one of us! :) That's a shock to the taste buds for SURE!!

This year, as in the past 15 or 20 years (??), the Thanksgiving meal was followed by the traditional "Kiser Men's Croquet Tournament" in the back yard. This year was Stan's first opportunity to participate, and the guys all had fun teaching him how to play. Here are a few pics from our Turkey Day together! All-in-all, a great time!! I loooooove Thanksgivings with my family!!

Stan and I also got to spend a couple hours getting caught up with our friends Dan, Kay, Elizabeth and Josh Thomas, and Jeremy and Rebecca Sarine, their daughter Olivia, and their son Gabe, who we got to meet for the first time. To wrap it all up, some pics of my sis-in-law Paige's baby shower for my nephew Will, who is due in January (woohoo!!), and then, of course, Settlers....Settlers....and more Settlers.
